After decades of being chased out of live/work spaces by gentrification, my days in Manhattan were numbered. Housing court had me: I was facing eviction from my beloved loft on the Lower East Side. To close the curtain on my Manhattan career I decided to go out the way I started: painting hummingbirds. The medium this time is acrylic paint on vinyl sticker paper, with an airbrush shadow directly on the wall or door or whatever. This one's on my front door. (The 5 is a sticker too.)
